Tommy Walker has reported or documented stories across Asia, Europe and South America that focus on dark tourism, social unrest, global health epidemics, football hooliganism, narco-tourism and natural disasters.
Born in London but raised early in Northeast England, Tommy has often seeked the unfamiliar with his travels and work. His worldly visits include Myanmar, India, Borneo, Malaysia, China and North Korea.
Through 2019 and into 2020 his work has been internationally published through words, photography and piece-to-cam video on the on-going pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.
He also spent two years in Auckland in 2016 and 2017 and has produced stories for Stuff, the NZ Herald, and Noted.
